Minster Bank Employees Donate to Shelby County CASA

Shelby County CASA Director, Bridget Davis, receives donation from Minster Bank – Sidney’s Assistant Branch Manager, Melissa Boyce

During the month of December, Minster Bank employees raised funds for the Shelby County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) group through the bank’s Casual for a Cause initiative. This donation reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting local communities and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Shelby County CASA, a nonprofit organization working out of the Shelby County Courthouse, is committed to serving children in need by providing hope, advocacy, and a voice within the juvenile court system. Through their 3 staff employees and over 30 trained volunteers, the organization works to represent the best interests of abused and neglected children throughout their time in court-involved cases. By ensuring that children have a consistent, caring advocate and that their needs are understood by the court, CASA helps guide young people toward safety, stability, and a brighter future.

The funds raised through Casual for a Cause will directly support these programs and services. Employees of Minster Bank participated in this initiative by dressing casually on designated days in exchange for a donation. This effort not only fosters a sense of camaraderie among employees but also reinforces the bank’s dedication to community involvement and social responsibility.

“We are incredibly grateful to Minster Bank for their donation,” expressed Bridget Davis, Director of Shelby County CASA. “The funds will be used to provide gas cards for our CASA volunteers, helping them complete essential home visits with the children they serve.”
