Scammers may call, text, or email pretending to be Minster Bank. They often claim there’s a problem with your account and ask for passwords, verification codes, or to move money to a “safe account.” Never share login credentials or one-time passcodes. Contact us directly.
Do You Think You’ve Been a Victim of Identity Theft?
Here are your next steps:
- Contact the fraud departments of each of the three major credit bureaus (listed below) and request that a fraud alert be placed on your file and that no new credit be granted without your approval
- Close any accounts that have been fraudulently accessed or opened
- File a police report and share a copy of the report with Minster Bank, your credit card company, or others that may need evidence of the crime
- File a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov or (877) ID-THEFT (438-4338)2

One of the easiest ways to protect your accounts is by setting up account alerts. Receive real-time notifications by text, email, or push notification for important activity such as debit card purchases, low balances, address changes, cleared checks, and online banking security events. The sooner you know, the sooner you can act.
Your Minster Bank debit card is monitored for suspicious activity 24/7. If potential fraud is detected, you’ll receive a text from 37-268 asking you to verify the transaction. Simply reply “YES” if the transaction is legitimate or “NO” if it isn’t. If fraud is suspected, we’ll guide you through the next steps. Debit cardholders with a current mobile number on file are automatically enrolled.
If you’ve misplaced your Minster Bank debit or credit card, or suspect theft or fraud, contact us as soon as possible. You can stop into any branch, contact us through Online Banking or the Minster Bank mobile app, or call 1-866-MINSTER during business hours. After hours, call 1-800-472-3272 for debit cards or 1-800-558-3424 for credit cards. Cardholders can also use Manage My Cards in the Minster Bank app to view transactions, set alerts, and turn cards on or off.
