Financial Outreach

Minster Bank prioritizes being a community-first bank by offering numerous financial outreach programs and services. From youth accounts to financial literacy school-age activities, we invest time, energy, resources and passion to ensure our customers and the greater community have access to financial education resources.

Youth Banking

Help your child get an early start to lifelong financial success by opening an account at Minster Bank. Consider applying for a checking account and debit card for youth ages 6-17. This free checking account only requires a $50 minimum opening balance.

A savings account is another great way to learn how to save money for a car, college education or other financial goal. A basic savings account only requires a minimum balance of $25 if you are under 18.

Benefits of Youth Accounts

With the guidance of their parent/guardian, youth account holders can learn how to budget, manage their money and begin to understand the difference between wants and needs. Teens who are working can deposit paychecks and use a debit card to pay for expenses.

Parents/guardians can do the following:

  • Monitor the account
  • Set limits for debit card withdrawals
  • Help nurture their child’s financial future

For more information on youth accounts, please call us at 866-646-7837 or click the button below to send an email.
